Through that whole experience, the battery was pulled from the keyboard to ensure there was no "automatic" connection with OSX as I went through those cycles.
Was able to get pairing and connection, but immediately the status changed to "driver error" beneath the icon/description for the keyboard.īack to OSX side, reset SMC, then PRAM, then back into Windows. Pulled the batteries on the keyboard, tried to pair with Windows. Made sure the other machine in the house (iMac) was disconnected from the A1255 (where it's been moved while I've got the wired keyboard on the mini) and the iMac's BT was turned off for good measure. this is the first use of Boot Camp for me, and have installed Win10 so don't know if there was a problem with previous Windows versions. am using an Apple Wireless Keyboard (Aluminum) model A1255 that's never been a problem with my macMini (6,2). After the "driver error" message associated with the keyboard, the only option/button contains the caption "remove device".Īdditional details that might be relevant(?). Only then will the keyboard even be seen despite the advice that the keyboard must be paired with OSX before rebooting to Windows. I've been able to get to this point by first, getting the Bluetooth setup looking for devices, pulling the batteries out of the keyboard for about 30 seconds, re-installing them, then turning on the keyboard.
The closest I've ever gotten is the Bluetooth Setup in Windows recognizing the keyboard, but returning a "Driver Error" after attempting pairing. Have tried several of the recommended solutions, including "repairing" boot camp drivers without success (three times, in spite of the thing about doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result). Yup, it's working just fine on the OSX side.
